Morocco's picture perfect landscape is something you could never have seen before. It has been an inspiration for many artists and soul seekers alike. Let us take a look at some of the beautiful sights you must not miss.
Morocco is devided into 4 different features of the natural landscape.
1- The Mountains:
The most impressive feature of Morocco's landscape is the Atlas mountain, which is devided into: Middle Atlas, High Atlas and Anti Atlas. They have vast fertile valley where you'll fall in love with the rivers and the waterfalls. The most famous waterfalls are: Ouzoud Falls (Azilal), Oum Rabia Falls (Khnifra Province), Paradise Valley Falls (56km from Agadir), Imouzzer (Souss-Massa-Draa region).
There are also hiking trails as well as mountain biking tails. You can also take mules and horses available in the villages in these valleys if you don’t want to walk.
Toubkal is the highest mountain in Morocco.
2- Rif Region:
The beautiful Rif is a mountain range that extends from Tangier in the west to the Moulouya River in the east and the Mediterranean sea in the north to the river of Ouargha in the south. The mountain region derives its name from the Berber word, arif. They belong to the Alboran Sea region but are not a part of the Atlas Mountains. The region is well known for its geographic diversity, as it is home to mountains, the sea, rivers, and hills. Major cities in the region are Nador, Al Hoceima, Ajdir and Taza, among others.
3- The Sahara Desert:
The part of the Sahara desert that falls in Morocco is called as Moroccan Sahara or the Southern province. This is the part which is mostly administered by Morocco but has been a disputed territory for a long time until now. There are small towns that have sprung up around the oasis which can be a great location for those people who want to enjoy the camel excursion into the desert.
4- The beaches:
After you trips to the sands of the Western Sahara you can find it even more amazing to walk the sands of the Mediterranean coast. You can have a wonderful time swimming at the beaches of most of the coastal towns like Agadir. Long clean beaches with a lot of beach side activity, hotels are a great spot to can a tan and enjoy the tranquil lying on the sands. Fishing, wind surfing spots in the pristine blue waters are a treat to remember. I think Guezira beach is the most beautiful one in Morocco.
I don't own the landscape photos.
